GHRP-2 Dosage, Protocol, and Reconstitution Guide
GHRP-2
GHRP-2 is a synthetic growth hormone secretagogue that binds to the ghrelin receptor and stimulates pulsatile GH release. It is commonly discussed for growth hormone support, recovery, fat metabolism, and body composition, but it is generally considered less selective than Ipamorelin.
How It Works
Ghrelin Receptor Activation → GH Pulse ↑ → IGF-1 ↑ → Recovery + Fat Loss + Appetite ↑
GHRP-2 activates the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR-1a), producing a short GH pulse and downstream IGF-1 support. Compared with Ipamorelin, it is more likely to increase appetite and may produce mild stimulation of prolactin, ACTH, and cortisol.

Dose100 mcg
Units6 units (0.06 mL)
Weeks 3–4
Dose150 mcg
Units10 units (0.10 mL)
Weeks 5–8
Dose200 mcg
Units12 units (0.12 mL)
Weeks 9–12
Dose250 mcg
Units16 units (0.16 mL)
Frequency: Once daily
Timing: 30–60 min before bed, often fasted
Cycle Length: 8–12 weeks (optional 16 weeks + break)
Advanced Protocol
Higher Range
Dose200–300 mcg daily
Some protocols split dosing into AM + PM pulses, but once-daily bedtime use is the cleaner starting point for most structured protocols.
When & Where to Inject
- Subcutaneous injection
- Abdomen, thigh, or upper arm
- Often used fasted for cleaner GH signaling
- Rotate injection sites consistently

Monitoring During Use
- Sleep quality
- Recovery and soreness
- Body composition changes
- Appetite response
- IGF-1 levels on longer cycles
Benefits
- Increased natural GH release
- Improved recovery and repair
- Supports fat metabolism
- May support lean mass retention
- Can enhance appetite in some users
Potential Side Effects
- Mild injection site irritation
- Noticeable hunger increase
- Temporary water retention
- Headache or flushing
- Mild cortisol / prolactin activity compared with more selective peptides
Stacking Strategies
- Classic Stack: GHRP-2 + CJC-1295 (NO DAC)
- Recovery: GHRP-2 + BPC-157
- Mass / Recovery: GHRP-2 + IGF-1 LR3
Important Notes
- Less selective than Ipamorelin
- More likely to increase appetite
- Short-acting pulse makes timing matter
- Works best with good sleep, training, and nutrition
